Gabriel has more than 18 years of experience in the tax field in both public and private organizations. He is a specialist in tax and estate planning, maximizing tax incentives and benefits, tax structuring and consulting, international taxation, and mergers and acquisitions. He actively participates in corporate processes, international financing operations from a tax perspective, tax compliance and administrative processes.
Prior to joining the private sector, Gabriel had a long career in the Internal Revenue Service (SRI) as a career civil servant where he served as Deputy Director General of Tax Compliance, National Director of Tax Control, National Head of Department of Large Taxpayers and International Taxation, National Head of Tax Audit, National Head of Tax Risks, and National Coordinator of Excise and Regulatory Taxes.
Gabriel also works as a university professor in the areas of Taxation and International Finance.
He has represented the country as a speaker at conferences and events organized by the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations, Foreign Tax Administrations and the World Health Organization.
