Michelle is an expert in applying incentives for taxes exemptions related to foreign trade, providing support on applying the benefits established in international trade agreements, and managing customs processes and regulations related to international trade.
Prior to joining the firm, she gained significant experience in the public sector while working at the Ministry of Economy & Finance where she participated in the negotiations of Ecuador’s portfolios with various multilateral organizations. Michelle was also part of the group tasked with creating and implementing the Customs Fraud and Smuggling Committee.
She also worked at the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fisheries in the Technical Office of Foreign Trade as part of the delegation of the Technical Secretariat of the Foreign Trade Committee, which formulates and approves national public policy on foreign trade.
