In recent days, relevant changes have occurred in the management structure of the National Service for Intellectual Rights (SENADI), as well as in the composition of the Intellectual Property Collegiate Body (OCDI).

New Director General (Acting) of SENADI

Elizabeth Ramírez Romero has been appointed as Director General (Acting) of SENADI since March 25, 2026.

Her professional background includes roles within the Intellectual Property Collegiate Body (OCDI), as well as specialized experience in intellectual property counseling. According to official information, her appointment is aimed at strengthening innovation and the digital transformation of the intellectual property system.

Change in the Opposition Department

Additionally, Aracely Quingalombo has been appointed as the new Director (Acting) of the Technical Opposition Department, who possesses over seventeen years of experience within the competent authority for intellectual property matters.

New composition of the Intellectual Property Collegiate Body (OCDI)

As a result of Elizabeth Ramírez Romero’s appointment as Director General (Acting), the body's composition is now integrated by:

• Sofía Camacho Oña
• Khristie Vera Guachambo
• Pablo Andino Fiallos

Consequently, it has been unofficially reported that the processes currently pending before the OCDI will be reallocated due to the modification in the membership of its board members.

Such reallocation may impact the processing timelines and the continuity of legal proceedings.
