Through a communication issued today, February 26, 2026, the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, and Investment informs that Ecuador has ordered an increase in the security fee for imports from Colombia, rising from 30% to 50%.

It is indicated that this provision will apply from March 01, 2026, and responds to national security criteria to address the presence of drug trafficking at the border.
